Moraph resells, implements and runs HealthStream's learning platform for hospitals and health systems, configured so each employee is assigned the compliance training their job requires, such as OSHA bloodborne pathogens, hazard communication and HIPAA privacy. Moraph keeps the assignments in step with your HR data, chases overdue training through your managers, and prepares the completion evidence that surveyors, auditors and your compliance committee ask for. Your education and compliance teams decide what is required; Moraph makes sure the platform carries it out.

What it is for

Most hospitals already have a learning system, but keeping it accurate is a job of its own. New hires, transfers and contractors are assigned the wrong courses or none, annual renewals slip, and managers learn about overdue training only when a surveyor asks. Education teams spend their time fixing assignment rules and running completion reports by hand instead of improving the content, and when the compliance officer needs proof that every exposed employee completed bloodborne pathogens training this year, the answer takes days to assemble.

  • Training assignments drift out of step with job codes, departments and HR changes
  • Contractors, students and agency staff fall outside the rules that cover employees
  • Overdue annual training is noticed late, often during a survey or audit
  • Completion evidence is assembled by hand from exports and spreadsheets

Who uses it

  • Clinical education and organizational development teams at hospitals and health systems
  • Compliance and privacy officers who answer for mandatory training
  • Employee health and safety officers responsible for OSHA programs
  • Department managers and nurse leaders who need their staff current
  • HR and IT teams that run the systems training assignments depend on

Before you start

  • Your organization uses Learning Management as a managed platform from Moraph, under an agreement that covers it.
  • Licences for HealthStream, bought through Moraph or under your own agreement with the vendor.
  • A Moraph account in your organization for each person who works with Moraph on the service.
  • Named technical and security contacts, recorded in the Moraph Portal.

Steps to get started

  1. Agree the scope of the managed service for Learning Management with Moraph, including which environments and teams it covers.

  2. Name your administrators, technical contact and security contact in the Moraph Portal under People and access.

  3. Review the configuration baseline Moraph proposes for your regulations, and record any changes you need.

  4. Confirm how users will sign in, through your identity provider where the platform supports it.

  5. Agree the pilot group and the cut-over plan with your Moraph delivery lead.
