Mark a ticket resolved

If the problem is fixed, or you no longer need help, open the ticket and choose Mark resolved in the Details panel.

Result

The page says Marked as resolved. Reopen it if the problem comes back. The conversation records who resolved it.

The support team can also resolve a ticket when they have fixed the problem; you get an email when they do.

Reopen a resolved ticket

If the problem comes back, open the ticket and choose Reopen, or simply send a reply. Either way the ticket goes back to In progress.

Result

The page says Ticket reopened.

Close a ticket

A resolved ticket can be closed with Close. Closing is final: a closed ticket can’t be reopened or replied to, and shows This ticket is closed. If the problem comes back, raise a new ticket and mention this reference.

Only close a ticket when you are sure you won’t need it again; otherwise leave it resolved.
